It’s the season for summery dresses, and here’s a beautiful design from Sydney based Donna Sgro that will add a lot a shimmer to your already sunny days! A trick of the light played on your unassuming eyes, this frock has been fashioned from Morphotex, a nanotechnology-based, structurally colored fiber that mimics the microscopic structure of the Morpho butterfly’s wings, which despite being nondescript in color, reflects a multi-faceted blue hue.  An amazing textile with low carbon impact, the production of Morphotex requires no dyes or pigments, nor the abundant amount of water and energy common to conventional dyeing.
