
0 to 1 designed this modern live-work space concept for an artist in Fiskars, Finland. The form was inspired by the local climate, Finnish culture, and a set of functions and guidelines provided by the artist. The sectional shape takes the form of a quarter of an octagon. The building’s volume increases in size from the front to the back, creating a utility cube with a sleeping loft above at the higher end, a work space in the middle, and an outdoor terrace at the lower end.
