Gallery: 14 Last Minute Gifts for the Green Procrastinator

HOMEMADE PESTO

Pesto is one of those delightfully fragrant and flavorful condiments that seems uber fancy but can actually be made quite easily with ingredients that you can find at your local market. Use our simple tutorial to whip up a batch of your own - even on the night before your gift-giving session.

STUFF THEY LOVE BOX

It’s happened again – you have just a few hours left until your holiday gift exchange and you’re utterly present-less. Luckily, your local supermarket, drugstore or whatever else is still open can actually be a treasure trove of practical gifts that you can make into a festive “Stuff You Love” Bundle. Just load up on your giftee’s favorite things – snacks, craft beer, even that lotion they love but constantly run out of – and place them all in a nice box or basket. Added bonus? You know they’ll actually use everything in there as opposed to that Shake Weight you gave the last year.

RECIPE IN A JAR

You’ve probably admired fancy jars filled with ingredients like this at your local fine foods shop but making them yourself is a snap – and can be done at the last minute too. Check out our tutorial to see how here.

COOK THEM A PANCAKE FEAST

The gift of a pancake feast on Christmas Day is pretty obviously a last-minute gift but honestly, who cares when pancakes are involved?! All will be forgiven once the syrup is poured, or you can just easily chose to make it seem like you had this special feast planned out all along.

BAG OF BOOZE

If you’re looking for a last minute gift that is pretty foolproof, we highly recommend a bag of booze. An Inhabitant brought this to our holiday White Elephant party last year and it was THE gift everyone wanted – just make sure that the recipient isn’t a teetotaler!
