Noise pollution, or sound pollution as it is often called, is a major factor in causing increased stress levels which can lead to health issues. For some people, extensive exposure to noise pollution can cause anxiety and a feeling of stress without any perceived cause. Depending on where you live, you will experience different levels of noise exposure throughout your day, but it’s important to try and create a quiet space within your home to unwind in. Some people are lucky enough to have a larger home where they can escape from noise altogether by avoiding rooms containing the loudest appliances, like washing machines and extractor fans. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the majority of people, who have no option but to have all of our domestic appliances in close proximity to our living spaces.
