Gallery: 366CM’s Recycled Wine B...

Here’s an idea that seems obvious in its simplicity, yet is executed in such a lovely way that it merits a second look. 366cm’s Millésime is half a wine bottle – turned into a candlestick with a clean slice and an added aluminum piece. While this might not sound groundbreaking, the craft with which this recycled wine bottle is cut, polished and refurbished elevates the candlestick far above the sketchy college-dorm version of the same thing. I think 366cm should be talking to the Transglass peeps, about potential adding this piece to their gorgeous line of recycled wine-glassware.

366cm is a Swiss design company which produces clever, conversation-piece objects for the home. Much of their work deals with recycled and redesigned objects. They also make a two-headed decanter which I really like called (oddly enough) Bobby. +366cm

Yah, Yah, Yah…..my mom did this back in the 60′s. What’s old is new again for the next generation.

How can I just get the clear topper where the candle goes?
