After suffering from millions of dollars worth of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy last year, Long Island is serious about never facing the same fate again. In order to get on the road to resilient rebuilding, a new organization called Operation Resilient Long Island (ORLI) organized a competition to design flood-resistant home concepts, and the 32 finalists were recently announced.
