Nearly ten years have passed since the devastating September 11th attacks, and much contention has swirled around the re-design of Ground Zero. With all discord finally placed aside to mark the decade passed, New York officials are planning a day long vigil on September 11th that will also include the opening of the highly anticipated 9/11 Memorial. Designed by architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker, the memorial takes on a space that inspires contemplation and remembrance. With a green design highlighted by a plaza filled with trees and two reflecting pools sited where the twin towers once stood, New York’s next iconic landmark is one to be revered.

    Did they engineer the falls to capture the hydroelectric power possible to power the pumps needed for the falls?
