Cool metallic facade, more like very hot in summer. Just like Frank Gehry's famous Disney concert hall in Los Angeles whose polished steel exterior was the envy of architects at the complaints of neighbors. Some residents of the neighboring condominiums suffered glare caused by sunlight that was reflected off these surfaces and concentrated in a manner similar to a parabolic mirror. The resulting heat made some rooms of nearby condominiums unbearably warm, caused the air-conditioning costs of these residents to skyrocket and created hot spots on adjacent sidewalks of as much as 140 degrees. Never mind what it will cost to refurbish it when it does rust. We don't mind the fact that brick and mortar age over time, if anything it adds a sense of use and character to the building; we don't mind if copper corrodes on our roofs that actually results in a patina. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/40_Wall_Street.jpg After a lull during the period of modern architectural dominance, classicism has seen somewhat of a resurgence. This rebirth is maily due to postmodern architecture, whose decorative tastes includes columns, capitals and textured facades.
