Gallery: A Room for London: Living Architecture’s Wind Energy-Generatin...

A Room for London is a pseudo riverboat perched on the roof of central London's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Designed by David Kohn Architects with help from artist Fiona Banner, Living Architecture's 6th rental features antique-looking wind turbines that actually generate energy that is fed back into the Southbank Center electrical grid. Founded by Swiss Philosopher Alain de Botton, Living Architecture rentals are designed to shake up the humdrum of daily life and encourage people to see their surroundings anew. Flip through our gallery for an up close look at this extraordinary project available for rent through the end of 2012.
