Ad Campaign Puts a Face to Scientists Studying Global Warming

The ad campaign is from the preeminent pubic body of scientist who are deeply engaged in helping develop public policy and education based on hard, empirical data [10]. The Union of Concerned Scientists is putting this campaign together to put a face to the folks who have been attacked [11] by special interest groups, casting doubt upon a fickle public. The ads highlight the professionalism and passion these scientists have toward their work and directs readers to resources [12] that highlight the unbiased science that is behind our understanding of human-caused global warming.
The ads will run in print and on the web thoughout the country. The Pew Center for People and the Press reports [13] that 84 percent of Americans see science as having a mostly positive effect on society. The debate within the scientific community has long been resolved [14] over climate change — now it is time that the scientist themselves speak to an issue that will be an essential cause for their children [15].
