Gallery: Adorable Crocheted Cozies Make Pet Turtles Stand Out

Here, Katie's turtle, Mila, stops to nibble on a dandelion while sporting a lovely flower cozie.

Sure, the green and yellow hues of an au-natural tortoise shell may be beautiful in its own right, but it can make them nearly impossible to spot while their enjoying a stroll through the lawn. By adding a colorful touch of handcraft, Katie transforms a turtle’s normally austere camouflaged motif into one that reflects a bit more personality.

Katie’s crocheted creations can be found for sale on her Etsy shop, with 10% of the proceeds going to benefit the International Reptile Rescue in Canby Oregon. She also blogs about her experience raising and rehabilitating rescued tortoises on her personal blog.
