When it comes to finding unique materials for their gorgeous handcrafted interiors, New York-based design firm Aellon [1] has carved out a special niche – with shipwrecks. Although their team uses regular reclaimed or sustainably-sourced timber as well, their furniture made from timber harvested from the remains of ships that never made it back to port is particularly noteworthy, and incredibly durable as well. They’ll be strutting their stuff at BKLYN Designs 2013 [2], so if you’re around, stop on by for a closer look at their unique chairs, desks and other fabulous green interiors.
