Gallery: AIA’s Top Ten Green Arc...

Twelve West is a 552,000 square feet mixed use building located in Portland. It is aiming for LEED Platinum for both New Construction and Commercial Interiors. Anyone taking a look at the building will immediately notice the most notable features are the urban wind turbines installed right on site.

All of the projects the AIA chose show remarkable achievements in the areas of community, bioclimatic design, daylighting and air quality, good use of healthy materials, and great design for adaptability, versatility, and durability. In other words, everything that you would be looking for in a kick ass green architecture project.
