Airbnb is Offering Free Housing for Victims of Hurricane Sandy

New Yorkers have been opening their homes to one another all week in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg and online accommodations marketplace Airbnb announced a way to make that process safer and easier. Airbnb’s new Donated Sandy Housing Directory will offer a directory of places for Hurricane Sandy victims to stay for free. The platform seems to be really successful as Airbnb has already seen 2,500 last-minute bookings near affected areas!
