AirClad creates brilliant inflatable buildings that are prefab, custom-made, and completely insulated. One of their coolest projects is this transparent cabin for Antwerp's Badboot boat. The inflatable structure shelters a rooftop bar on the boat, which also features one of the largest floating swimming pools in the world.
Anchored nearby Antwerp’s iconic Mas Museum, Badboot (Bad Boat) features one of the largest floating swimming pools in the world. Just like Berlin’s Badeschiff, the boat entertains visitors all year round. In the summer it features a 390-foot-long swimming pool, which transforms into a fantastic open-air ice skating rink in the winter.
AirClad’s prefab, flat pack shelter was made in 6 weeks and installed in just 3 days. The space measures 30×60 feet, and it was constructed from white powder coated steel and transparent plastic, fitting in with the boat’s aesthetics. The clear structure is filled with daylight, and in the winter it’s heated to allow visitors to enjoy a drink while taking in panoramic views of Antwerp’s harbor.
