Al Gore AIA150 [1]

Vice President Al Gore will be partying with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) [2] in San Antonio, Texas over Cinco de Mayo (Saturday May 5, 2007) next year as the closing keynote speaker to the AIA’s 2007 National Convention and Design Exposition [3]. Themed with the title, “Growing Beyond Green [3],” the 2007 AIA Convention [3] is an excellent stage for someone who has been an avid supporter of sustainability and the environment. The AIA [4] is excited to have Gore present at their 2007 convention, which also happens to be a celebration of its 150 Birthday.

We are honored to have Vice President Gore, a champion of solutions to combat global warming, speak at our 2007 national convention. We are fortunate to have someone of Mr. Gore’s stature help shine a spotlight to an often overlooked element – the impact that buildings have on the health of the overall environment.

~ Christine McEntee, AIA CEO and Executive Vice President

The AIA 2007 National Convention and Design Expo, “Growing Beyond Green [3]” will be held May 3-5, 2007 in San Antonio, TX.
