Ever admired a tall tree and wondered about what’s going on down below the ground? Artist Henrique Oliveira has created a stunning eco-installation so that visitors to the Museu de Arte Contemporanea da Universidade in Sao Paulo can get a first hand look at what it’s like to be the root of a tree, growing under ground. Made from repurposed wood pieces, the elaborate tunnel system allows humans to experience a “day in the life” of a tree, as if they were insects burrowing right beside the roots.
