Gallery: Amazing LEGO London Olympic Stadium Made From 100,000 Bricks W...

We recently showcased an amazing LEGO Colosseum which shows that you can do incredible things with a little time and everyone's favorite building bricks. Now, in honor of the London 2012 Olympics, the LEGO artists at Bright Bricks have created a model of the Olympic Stadium in Stratford London. Composed of over 100,000 bricks and weighing in at over 200 pounds, the model is a fitting arena for its hundreds of Olympic minifigures - including some created exclusively for the 2012 games.

The model took four people two months to complete. It sits in the Westfield shopping mall near the official London Olympics store and draws crowds that are sometimes four people deep. The minifigures used in the design include 9 figures made to represent the Great Britain Olympic team. These figures are available for purchase exclusively in the UK market and include a boxer, swimmer and tennis player, among others.

Bright Bricks is known for their extravagant and huge LEGO designs, like the world’s first LEGO jet engine for Rolls-Royce and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree in the middle of St. Pancras Station.

The model is an incredibly detailed replica of the Olympic stadium and it includes details of both the interior and exterior, featuring a running track, javelin field and awards podium.
