5.5 Designers recently unveiled a beautiful line of clean and modern furniture that acts as a blank canvas for growing a variety of potted plants! A bench of boxwood trees? A table topped with thuyas? The different types of
living furniture you can create in your own backyard are only limited by your imagination.
Dubbed Mobilier à Jardiner, or “Furniture to Garden”, the pieces are an interesting way to display your plants instead of merely placing them in pots (boring!). Plus, the greenery you plant actually becomes a part of the furniture, serving as a backrest, armrest or tabletop. And if you ever grow bored of a particular configuration, you can always switch out the flowers, grass, and trees.
It’s important to point out that although the furniture itself is made of concrete, which isn’t the most sustainable material, it is durable and meant to last for a long time, hopefully becoming a fixture that is not easily discarded.
