Most people would cringe to think of deadly bacteria anywhere near their bodies. Artist Anna Dumitriu has bravely worked with microbiologists for the last two decades to create her textiles embroidered with microorganisms. Using sterilized strains, she incorporates the dangerous pathogens into the cloth of her pieces.
