Gallery: Antoine Fritsch’s T2O B...
Acceleration is provided by the rider, who sets off the bike's motor by kicking off the bike like scooter or skateboard.
The T2O is constructed primarily from bamboo, although it integrates cork, steel, and aluminum into its frame. A small motor sits at the hub of its rear wheel, and the battery is hidden away under the bike’s foot rest. Acceleration is provided by the rider, who sets off the bike’s motor by kicking off the bike like scooter or skateboard. The bike’s seat is slightly tilted for both back and bottom support, providing a comfy ride.
Despite its simple design (which at first glance may seem too delicate for urban environments) the bike’s bamboo construction is remarkably sturdy. Moreover, the flexibility of the bamboo should bode well when riding over potholes and bumps in the road.
