Since 2009, Apple has been working on creating an even more affordable iPhone for its millions of users. To keep the new model wallet-friendly, the lower-end smart phone could be made partially from recycled materials. Additionally, by using a cheaper polycarbonate plastic outer shell instead of the iPhone 5’s aluminum housing, Apple could reduce the new smartphone’s cost from $149 to $99.
