Hawaii-native street artist, Sean Yoro (known as Hula), returned home to create unconventional masterpieces in the islands’ waterways. The most fascinating part of his process, besides the double-take-worthy quality of his creations, is that he does his paintings all while balancing on a surfboard.
The attention to detail, such as lighting and making sure the pieces just meet the water line, truly deliver the illusion that giant beauties are bathing in the river. The NYC-based artist does both indoor and outdoor work, yet producing these murals requires a steady hand and a healthy dose of adventurousness. Surely, we haven’t seen the end of Hula’s acrylic artistry, so stay tuned to see what he envisions next.
