Aswoon/Susan Woods Studio [1] in Brooklyn designs and fabricates furniture and architectural additions for interiors and exteriors, as well as providing a platform for high-end artists and designers. The studio, located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard [2] is providing furniture for this year’s Semi-permanent [3] design conference in NYC.

Among the new products emerging from Aswoon is a line of bent plywood furniture and room dividers. The pieces have a remarkable movement to them, reminiscent of those ribbony peppermint candies you see during the holidays. The striated coloring and curled edges of the plywood give them an absolutely unique look, both refined and accidental.
