Audi took inspiration from its classic racers when styling the Auto Union Type C E-Tron Study — almost everything about the ride says “old school” except for one thing: its modern electric motor. That’s right, the rear wheel-drive Type C has a small electric motor and lithium-ion battery under its hood, making it a green auto that only looks antiquated. Audi puts the car in the “toy” category since it can only travel at speeds of up to 18 mph (for as far as 15 miles), but hey, you wouldn’t want to be whizzing by people when your wheels are this fly anyhow, right?

    not to be a smart ass but electric vehicles existed since 1900′s so that would be why the car it ultra new. electric vehicles have existed for a very long period of time. It has bee the slow evolution of the battery that has held it back.
