<p>Have you ever thought to yourself, &#8220;you know, I really dig x-rays from an aesthetic standpoint, but I only ever see them at the dentist or after some kind of injurious catastrophe. What a shame.&#8221; Perhaps not. But if you&#8217;re thinking that now, then check out this cool <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/12/15/lightdrops-umbrella-by-sang-kyun-park/">umbrella</a> concept from <a href="link: http://www.coroflot.com/public/individual_details.asp?individual_id=204725">Anastacia Spada</a>. Composed of water-repellent sheets of skeletal film, her brilliant <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/diy/">diy</a> project is sure to cast rainy nights under a different shade.</p>

<p>Anyone who has ever spent an afternoon mowing <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2005/12/12/how-to-eat-your-lawn/">lawns</a> knows the downsides of the job: walking in monotonous straight lines with the filthy emissions of a two-stroke engine in their face, and a subway&#8217;s worth of noise to contend with. Enter <a href="http://www.usa.husqvarna.com/">Husqvarna</a>&#8216;s <a href="http://www.automower.us/">Automower</a>, a solar-powered, <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/03/04/super-cute-electric-zero-emissions-think-car/">zero-emission</a> lawn-Roomba that offers an attractive (albeit pricy) replacement.</p>

<p>One of our favorite finds at this year&#8217;s <a target="new" href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/09/29/west-coast-green-2008-highlights/">West Coast Green</a> were these other-wordly and eco-friendly dome homes from <a target="new" href="http://www.solaleya.com/">Solaleya</a>. Imagine a circular loft with plenty of skylights and a solar array on top, gently rotating to orient itself towards the sun, and you have the basic idea. It&#8217;s like an eco-friendly update to the <a target="new" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemosphere">Chemosphere</a> in LA. The durable domes are constructed using only <a target="new" href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/09/24/som-cathedral-of-christ-the-light/">FSC-certified wood</a> and have been proven to withstand category 5 hurricanes and earthquakes up to magnitude 8 on the <a target="new" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medvedev-Sponheuer-Karnik_scale">MSK</a> scale.</p>
