Cars are extremely wasteful; they use up valuable raw materials and produce tons of waste, and worst of all, they’re only about 85% recyclable. But what if a car could be completely rebuilt after each use? Terrestrial is a vehicle that’s designed to be remanufactured after its “end of life.” My design allows components to be replaced in a modular way. It is designed to be disassembled, using upcyclable materials so they circulate infinitely and don’t end up in a landfill. The car is divided into four modules: platform, skeleton, skin and interior. These four modules are independent of each other. They are divorced so they can be repaired, upgraded and remanufactured separately without limiting the lifespan of one another.
