Eco Pig Designs is a micro home design company that is about to begin construction on a new 40/45 foot shipping container home called the SCH-1. The modular residence has separate living and sleeping areas, a good sized bathroom and is wheelchair-friendly. The SCH-1 has a U value of 0.20w/m2k and is available with an even lower u value up to 0.10w/m2k. The container is designed to be constructed in a factory and delivered to the site as a turn key model for a target price of less than £40k. If the container is used as a primary residence it will also be VAT exempt (which will save thousands).
