Whether you call it ‘soda’ or ‘pop,’ we can all agree that BRC Designs‘ quirky and colorful ‘Suicide Collection’ is pretty impressive. The unique pieces of furniture are made from hundreds of recycled cans and pop tops that have been stitched and soldered together. The furniture collection, which features both a chair and a table, is crafted from an assortment of recycled cans, and it’s named after the suicide drink — a favorite of kids that involves mixing three or more different sodas together into one sugary concoction.

Cambridge-based artist and contemporary furniture designer Ashley Baldwin-Smith from Ashwin Studio specializes in creating furniture from found objects, recycled engine parts and scrap metal. Baldwin-Smith recently completed the Tube Chair and the B Chair, a pair of sculptural chairs that are made entirely from steel tubes that are welded together. The chair is intended to function both as a sculpture and as a comfortable chair that can be used both inside and outside.
