Rotunda Living, a new small house builder in the UK, has developed a range of small, contemporary roundhouses that would be perfect for a holiday getaway or a backyard studio. The structures are similar to yurts, but with solid walls. Founder Gemma Roe plans to use locally-sourced materials and support a UK supply chain without compromising on quality and beauty. ”I just don’t think there are enough Roundhouses around nowadays,” says Roe. ”The rectilinear world is frustratingly dull and I just want to provide people with the opportunity to step into another environment for once to experience something a little magical.”
