Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based artist Parvez Taj takes reclaimed Douglas Fir harvested from old buildings throughout Southern California and turns them into unique eco paintings. Taj hand selects each piece of wood and uses UV curable inks which are non-solvent – an eco friendly substitute to solvent inks – to create his designs which range from recreations of subways maps to nature scenes. The resulting work is one of a kind, low-energy, and 100% made in Southern California.
