As our world moves towards data storage devices like flash drives, compact discs are quickly becoming obsolete. To give new life to this receding technology, architects Arielle Blonder, Guy Austern and Mushit Fidelman designed this stunning pavilion made]]> cdesign, pavilion made of cds, recycled cd pavilion, Arielle Blonder, Guy Austern , Mushit Fidelman, green architecture, green design, eco design, tex fab repeat, cd pavilion, cd domeAs our world moves towards data storage devices like flash drives, compact discs are quickly becoming obsolete. To give new life to this receding technology, architects Arielle Blonder, Guy Austern and Mushit Fidelman designed this stunning pavilion made of CDs. They used a program called CDesign, which interprets CDs as a 2D building block for the next generation of 3D structures. The pair have submitted their proposal for the “TEX-FAB-REPEAT” Digital Fabrication Competition this past November.
