Kids these days. With all the awesome technology swirling around our homes and schools, the simple joy of a book, or climbing a tree, are lost on them. In order to encourage life-saving exercise, play, and the growth of imagination muscles through the reading of actual books (not ebooks!), parents and teachers have to get creative. The Conarte Children’s Library and Cultural Center did just that. With the help of Monterrey-based design studio Anagrama, the library reinvented its children’s reading room with vast carpeted surfaces and geometric bookcases that inspires kids to run, climb, and yes, even read.
