It’s that time of year again, and we know lots of you are headed back to school — many moving into dorm rooms and new apartments. For many of you that means trips to IKEA to find cheap furniture, but often cheap furniture comes with a downside: formaldehyde-filled plywood that off-gases in your space and can cause indoor air pollution. Fortunately our favorite cheap-chic retailer Target has come to the rescue with a new line of economical furniture that is cute, eco-friendly and flat-packed for easy transport.

Hi,
I am a big fan of the custom furniture on your site.
I’m an environmental activist and the founder of savephoenix.org. I am currently trying to promote my new article on green furniture design, ww.modernfurniture.org. I’m writing to see if you would post a link from your page to modernfurniture.org – if so, I’ll write a blurb on my article about how you are a green friendly furniture company.
Thanks!!
Sincerely,
Sarah

TARGET IS THE NEW VISIONARY FOR THE GENERAL POPULATION
I’m really disappointed in this pointed slight against Ikea. Yes, Ikea does use plywood in their furniture, but Ikea also adheres to higher off-gassing standards than most US companies (I believe it’s the German E1 standard). Check your facts before you slam a retailer who is actually trying to do well by their customers!
