Bamboo Bottle: A Reusable Bottle Made From Bamboo and Glass

With all the talk about BPA, phthalates, and other hinky chemicals that could potentially leach into our food and drink, it’s no wonder that we’re turning a gimlet eye to anything that passes through our lips. (Even coated aluminum [5] isn’t off the hook.) One material that has remained relatively unscathed, however, is glass — but its breakable nature makes it impractical as a portable receptacle. The Bamboo Bottle Company [6] has one ingenious solution: Sheathe the glass in bamboo. The result is a reusable bottle [7] that’s as chemically inert as it is beautiful. We’re in love.
