Banksy’s Giant Monopoly Set Joins Occupy London Movement

A unique take on the iconic game, the board comes complete with a depiction of Rich Uncle Pennybags [11], top hat in hand, begging for money. Bankers are presumably represented by the sports car and top hat game pieces, while street names have been changed to the cities where other protests are taking place. This attention to detail continues with a familiar plastic red house with ‘tox’ spraypainted on its side, a reference to the tagger Tox who was convicted of criminal damage earlier this year.
Through wit and humor the board is encouragement for the ‘Occupy’ protests [12] that are continuing to spread internationally from the Occupy Wall Street movement (along with their innovative bike generators Inhabitat took a look at last week [13]).
