Gallery: Battery-Free Bosavi LED Headlamp Recharges Via USB

Two years ago rock climber Dan Freschl quit his job as a battery engineer and set to work designing an environmentally friendly headlamp that didn’t rely on AAA batteries to function. After two years of work, the Bosavi headlamp is a reality. Bosavi features a custom-made, long lasting, USB-rechargeable lithium polymer battery, a 110 lumen high-intensity LED, and an intelligent design that affords user customization and better reliability. Additionally, Bosavi’s packaging reduces waste as it converts into an origami lantern that attaches to the headlamp and folds flat for travel. Dan has launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the first production run of headlamps. You can learn more about the Bosavi headlamp at, where you’ll find product details and specifications.
