Chun Qing Li, Managing Director of Pavilion Architecture and Greenwich University’s Proffesor, told us that he designed KREOD pavilion to resemble three giant seeds. Measuring 215 square foot each pod, the indoor/outdoor sculptural shelter can be used for sheltering public exhibitions, office meeting areas and even bike sheds. The intricate wooden structure [7] is made from FSC Kebony [8] wood that went through a patented process (Kebonization [9]) that makes the wood harder, more durable and resistant to weather and wear, by using a non-toxic liquid derived from agricultural bio waste.

Local structural engineers Ramboll UK worked alongside geometry consultants Evolute for developing the eye-catching structure and the interiors stretch out from white durable TensileFabric [10]. Designed for everybody to enjoy, the KREOD pavilion will be at the Greenwich Peninsula Square until mid October and will be popping-up at high-profile locations across the city of London. Weatherproof LEDs where carefully placed inside the structure for giving the pavilion [11] a fantastic glowing effect during the night and making it shine exposing its cells to the low-energy lights changing colors.
