Beautiful Paper Chairs Inspired by Traditional Chinese Umbrella Craft

Designer Jovana Chris Lei [4] has unveiled a set of beautiful paper chairs at the Salone Satellite Show [5] at the 2011 Milan Furniture Fair [6]. Dubbed “Future Tradition”, the collection is inspired by the 2,000 year old Chinese craft of making umbrellas. While the material choice may seem disastrous in the form of seating, the chairs are built to be durable while only appearing to be delicate.
