In the evening guests climb up a spiral stairway to a cozy bedroom overlooking the Spanish tile-clad neighboring roofs. The bedroom is contained inside a shipping container, clad in wood and bookended in full-height glass. Step outside onto the fake grass and immerse yourself in the city.
The big windows are protected by a shutter that rolls out the full length of the container. Clad in wood, the container is significantly softened, and a small round window which pivots to open in the middle provides fresh air at night. The best part is that you can have it for a very reasonable $105 a night.
