Designer/maker Richard Foxcroft recently brought together ancient barrel making and boat building techniques to create a beautiful line of wooden hammocks. Foxcroft’s Hertfordshire Hammocks are made of English oak from a sustainably managed woodland, and they’re designed to look good, feel good and last for many years. The wood is steam-bent to create comfortable curved shapes, and a stand is available in case there aren’t any trees nearby.
