Beautiful Tyhee Deck Chairs are Locally Made and Sustainable

by , 07/20/10

Gallant & Jones is in the business of making beautiful handmade goods that are Earth-friendly and completely sustainable. The Vancouver, Canada based workshop consists of a pair of young women interested in bringing back age-old traditions and skills and implementing them into modern design. One wonderful piece that comes just in time for summer is this gorgeous deckchair, the Tyhee, which is made with 100% recycled polyester fabric, North American black walnut from well-managed forests, and stained with an eco-friendly teak oil. Each part of the Tyhee is either hand-sewn or custom finished to the highest standard, the finished chair is also lightweight, portable, and folds flat! And for every deckchair purchase made, the duo donates a tree to the Love Trees Foundation!
