Dominican designer Richard Moreta Castillo has proposed an innovative solution for cyclists stuck in congested cities packed with cars – a 10 kilometer elevated bike path that lets bike riders [1] soar through the sky! The Bicimetro Eco Bahn [2] is composed of two glass and steel tubes held up by a series of futuristic supports. The tunnels protect cyclists from road hazards like potholes, car doors, and vehicles and they’re topped with energy-generating wind turbines and photovoltaic panels [3].
