For most people, bicycles represent a means of transportation, a fun activity, or even objects of affection. For David Byrne they’re much more – they offer a unique opportunity to experience the culture, history, and vitality contained within our built environment. Due for release today, Bicycle Diaries is a freewheeling travelogue that finds Byrne pedaling through the cities of the world as he expounds upon architecture, infrastructure, and life within the world’s great cities.

David; Maybe you can lend your NYC Bisycler’s status to this bicycle dilema.
My Daughter Mia and her friend Ben are Cooper Union students . They have Bicycled for a few semesters to Manhattan from Brooklyn and happily stored their bikes in their studio space @ Cooper. This year with the opening of a new studio building they have been told no bikes ( even thought the architect planned bike storage in the building) . Many of the student riders have since had loss of their bikes and bike items having to leave them unprotected outside.
Hows that for promotion by a school who’s admins should be right up there with you for what city bicyclers represent.???? Help if you can
PS; Ben Setzer has ben active in pursuing the issue @ Cooper and would be happy for your help.
    Yours,Marty ( Mia’s dad)
