Biodegradable Pod Garden Makes Planting Fresh Herbs a Snap
Posted By Inhabitat On November 30, 2011 @ 4:38 pm In Gardening,Green Kitchen,Green Products | No Comments
Joe Bradford developed the Pod herb garden while he was a student at the Wentworth Institute of Technology . It’s designed to offer an easy way for urban residents to grow herbs and other plants at home. The pod’s low-profile spherical shape easily fits on any kitchen counter, giving you immediate access to herbs while you cook.
Once a set of seeds has matured and outgrown the micro garden, it couldn’t be easily to transplant them – simply drop the oxo-biodegradable plastic shell into a hole in the earth and the plants it contains will flourish. The Pod even acts as its own packaging – it is designed to be sold complete with compressed dirt and seeds!
