Bjarke Frederiksen’s “Nordic Nomad Chair” is a knapsack, a sack, a blanket and a chair – all in one! Designed to tote around, snuggle with and sit on, this cute Danish design was created to be used in the wild but could just as easily work in urban environs. Changeable in form with adaptable functions, Frederiksen’s wood and wool contemporary furniture piece can be carried by a human or also carry a human.

A graduate from the The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Frederiksen aimed to create a contemporary design piece that could accommodate and adapt to mobile lives instead of threatening personal freedom. It consists of a series of soap-finished solid European ash poles and a ’Scandinavian’ gray panama-woven canvas and wool chair / backpack / blanket / knapsack. A great Danish design, it will increase the user’s personal freedom improving the overall standard of living wherever is taken.
