This Sunday, at 2pm, in honor of Mothers Day, Jill and Abigail from Inhabitat will be leading a Green Design walking tour at the BKLYN Designs furniture fair – and it is sure to be a lot of fun.

BKLYN Designs fan, and hit the show every year to get a sneak peek on the latest local green furniture design. But in addition to our usual in-depth coverage of
BKLYN Designs from
May 9th to 11th, we’ve got a new treat in store for you this year. Inhabitat’s

Jill Fehrenbacher, and
Art and Style Editor,
Abigail Doan, will be leading a
Mother’s Day Green Design Walking Tour of all the best earth-friendly and family-friendly designs at this year’s BKLYN Designs show. If you are a design fan, or are looking for something fun to do on Mother’s Day (and have yet to make plans), here is a great way to dedicate time to greening your home as well as celebrating and honoring amazing Moms everywhere (Mother Earth included).
BKLYN Designs will be featuring over 70 exhibitors this year, and out of this exciting line-up there are some real standout designers showcasing kid-oriented products and green furniture collections. Several are old Inhabitots favorites like Argington, Iglooplay, and Lotta Jansdotter, and others who are new on the scene – just waiting to be discovered and incorporated into your next green interiors project. Jill and Abigail will be sharing their expertise and insight on the best of the show’s kid-friendly designs, as well as talking a bit about eco-friendly ways to design your home with materials and non-toxic products that are for safe for green living.
The Mother’s Day Green Design Walking Tour MEETS AT 2pm in front of the Rice Bar in St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn. See the BKLYN Designs website for more information. Bring the entire family, bring Mom, bring your own original ideas so that we can share in a green design dialogue.
