Inhabitat favorite EcoSystems has just provided us with a sneak-peek of a brand new design they’ll be unveiling at BKLYN Designs 2010 — the Snug-It bed! The bed is based on their innovative connector system, which is capable of creating ready-made furniture that is hassle-free, tool-free and can be flat-packed for efficient shipping.

We first caught sight of Ecosystem’s Snug-It! connectors last year, and we’re excited to see their they’re exploring new applications for the design. Snug-it! pieces are made of sustainable materials and are produced using a local automated manufacturing method that minimizes fuel waste.

The simple joinery works with any ¾” material and the connectors can also be purchased individually for DIY furniture projects. EcoSystems also maintains a recycling and reclaiming service that will pick up any discarded furniture or used unwanted pieces.

The month of May is right around the corner and we are getting geared up BKLYN Designs 2010. The event takes place in DUMBO, Brooklyn from May 7th until May 9th and we will be there to stake out all of the latest eco-finds.
