I went to BKLYN Designs this weekend and I must say that the exhibition was even better this year than last. The show featured 55 different Brooklyn designers this year, bringing back old faves like Scrapile [5] and BraveSpace [6], as well as adding plenty of hot new up-and-comers like EverySpace [7] and ObjectInteriors [8].

This gorgeous “arrange” shelf/vase by EverySpace design [10] is one of my favorite things I saw yesterday. Such a simple idea, yet so lovely.
Another favorite from yesterday was this beautiful green cabinet made by BOA of ObjectInteriors [8]. Every element in the gorgeous cabinet is environmentally sustainable: it’s made from Kirei board, recycled paper and recycled steel. I want one of these!
Brooklyn design duo The Design Can [11] never ceases to impress with their cute takes on homewares. I LOVE this neo-baroque blackbird mirror.

Old Brooklyn favorites Scrapile and BraveSpace both have released brand new designs at this show.
Designer Andrea Claire [12] merges photographs into traditional cylindrical lamps to create these stunning light pieces.
Real kids, such as Max here, seemed to love Igloo’s kids furniture [13]. Kid tested, mother approved..
