PEG Woodworking brings a sculptural touch to sustainable furniture design

green design, eco design, sustainable design , PEG Woodworking, Kate Casey, Danish Cord, macrame, handmade joinery

Since 2013, Casey has designed custom furniture using a system of handmade joinery. Her pieces have also incorporated tactile and traditional handmade elements like Danish Cord weaving, crochet, macramé and Shaker techniques. For her, patterns have always been a focus, playing up the natural line work of raw wood with multi-piece patterned tabletops, benches and woven trunks.

In addition to accentuating their natural properties, Casey also works with sustainable materials, favoring local, non-toxic lumber combined with natural oil sealants and all-natural cotton cord. With honest, simplistic materials, PEG Woodworking pushes the beautiful complexity of design.
